(More customer reviews)I saw this knife for under $30 and just fell in lust with it. I'm a longneck drinker and I'm always searching for a bottle opener or having to improvise to open a brew when camping.. so, this seemed like a natural for me.
When it arrived, I was surprised at how "squat" the knife was. The handle is shorter than I had presumed (due to the bottle opener). The pics I had seen were a bit deceiving. The ones in this ad are better. All in all, it is still a cool fixed blade, but the plastic sheath is an absolute P.O.S. It scratches the finish on the blade where it puts pressure on the side, near the hilt, to hold it in. It is flimsy and the reversible clip is absolute crap.
For under $30, I think it was worth it. I need to have a nice leather sheath made for it. I would not pay $40+ for this knife though.

(More customer reviews)Being an avid adventurist and member of our great US Military, I have had the pleasure to experiment with many different knives. This one takes it. While a little on the bulky side, it does EVERYTHING you ask it to (except cook breakfast in the morning). The handle is way more comfortable than others I have used, however gets a little marred up when lashing the knife to a stick to create a spear. That being said, it skewers wild boar quite well (for those looking to go primitive) and it retains a good edge (not very common in 420C steel) but is mitigated by the built-in sharpening apparatus. Overall, I own 4 of these knives (should that tell you anything) because they work. I use one for hunting/skinning, one for the truck (because you never know when you will need one), one in the garage and one in my personal deployment kit. I even bought one for my 70 year old mother!
Again, a great knife, I would buy more, but I am running out of places to put them.

I was happy and thought this was a very good value, But a few days later I dropped it (woops) and the tip broke off. On a WOODEN floor. old hardwood floor thats under your carpet at that. I dont think dropping the knife is abusing the blade, so i give it 3 stars for being so brittle and prone to breakage. Put the $20 towards a better, higher quality knife

Looks and feels like a toy knife handle; so much so that you would not want to carry this around in public for fear of being mistaken for a child with a plastic toy knife. pros: 1.sturdy as hell, you can literary smash rocks on the back of this knife to cut logs and it doesn't damage it at all.
2. the sheathe is nice and sturdy also. there are a few different ways of wearing, and i find that useful considering as a back packer sometime i have to move crap around. it also has a sharpener on it. which ive never had to use but when it does dull it will be nice.
cons: 1. heavy, like i said before this is a very sturdy knife. the trade of between weight and durability is defiantly shown in the design of this knife.
2. this is not a precision tool, for instance gutting a fish... not impossible but a pain in the ass.

This knife is at it's best when you want to carry a knife but the occassion is not appropriate for carry{large knife}. I find the knife strong, and well made. The fit and finish is superior. Matter of fact the only draw back would be the rather high possibility of loss. That's how I lost a simulair knife as a kid. The craze today is Tactical, large monster blades, and multi tools. (More customer reviews)Its a well made knife but has room for improvement. The finishing could be better. Its not quite mirrow finish and not quite stain finish as well. It has a blurry mirror effect, not very pleasing. A complete stain finish would be much better. Also the sheath gets cut easily when drawing the knife. It is a design flaw. Despite the corns it is super sharp out of the box and feels great in hand.

(More customer reviews)The Guppie is an almost useful tool, but falls short. The crescent wrench portion does not open very far (1/2") and so is useful for smaller nuts only. It also has a lot of play in it so that it wobbles and has to be held in tension re adjusted constantly to use. The screwdriver portion is OK but can't get into tight spaces as the bits are quite short. The knife appears to be acceptable but I have not used it much to see how long it will hold an edge. The little built in LED flashlight could be useful, I don't know how long it will run on the small battery, but for emergency repair it puts out a reasonable amount of light and is magnetic, so it could be stuck to something metal while you tighten a loose bolt.
In summary, it is cute, but could be better made, especially the wrench.

Its heavy enough to be used on thick roots and trees (thats what i used mine for). sheath isnt the best but I wont carry this one I throw it in my car or my bag when I go camping.
All and all I love this knife and its worth the money.

This is a great general utility knife. The action is very smooth after some break in, even without spring assist. It's nice that I wont have to worry about such a mechanism breaking.
The addition of the screwdrivers on the back for this type of large single blade folding knife is what really set it apart of me. It even comes with an attached aluminum belt clip.My only complaint is likely the lock in switch (the vertical sliding lock). It's a bit loose and ends up feeling a bit cheap due to this. However, it does still work correctly, and in the worst case it's not really needed with the button lock anyway (the button lock is solid).
