(More customer reviews)There are a few things wrong with this sword, first off rat tail tang. For this swords weight there is no safe way to swing it, the tang is to flimsy for that. If you are buying this sword for the sole purpose of hanging it on the wall its ok but still there is an issue with the weight, its heavy, really heavy. As for the carbon steel blade, im not entirly convinced that its carbon steel, and the edge is not honed at all.Three stars is all I can give this sword, and that is being generous.

House of Flying Daggers Movie Leo's Broad SwordThis is a good quality replica of Leo' s sword from the movie "House of Flying Daggers". The sword is the highest quality replica we have ever come across with aged brass fittings and a dark wooden handle; the sword looks like it could have come right out of the 9th century. House of Flying Daggers is another Must See movie after "Hero". If you like "Hero" you will like this one too. Etched into the steel of the sword is the symbol from the movie. The blade comes already sharpened. Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden covered in leather. Imprinted into the leather is the Chinese character naming this the sword of " The Legendary Detective " The sheath ends in a brass end cap detailed with a butterfly and leaf. The scabbard throat is aged brass with intricate scroll work in relief. A black carrying cord is fastened to the scabbard throat and another brass fitting in the upper half of the scabbard. Guard: The guard of the sword begins with a detailed brass blade collar securing the blade to the handle. The guard itself is solid brass with two dragons facing each other in relief. The guard ends with a brass fitting at the base of the handle securing the handle to the guard. Handle: The handle of the sword is wooden finished in a black semi gloss. Two rings give the handle grip and comfort. The handle ends in a brass pommel as seen in the movie. The wooden stand doesn't come with this auction but you can buy it in my other auctions. You can choose to put this sword on this stand or the shogun upright stand. It looks great on both of them.
