(More customer reviews)all i'm saying is that yes... they are stainless steel blades but what i wasn't expecting is there are little foam peaces inside the hilt right where the blade meets the handle... i thought they might as well had made them with platic but no... its packing foam... anyways... they are beautiful but don't think for one second they are anything practical... they are just there to hang on your wall and collect dust... pretty but useless....

(More customer reviews)Very very cool knives. I mostly have larger knives like the Cold Steel True Flight Thrower (which is awesome btw) so i decided that I needed some smaller and lighter knives. I looked around and these were the best knives for the cost I was looking for. These knives are only sharp on one side of the blade (doesn't really effect throwing) and they are pretty light, so you can throw them fast. Only problem I have with them is that because of their lightness, they don't have the best penetration on my plywood target. The leather sheath is nice to have on your hip when you're throwing, easy stowing for the knives too. At this price, they are great for beginners. 5 out of 5.

That should clear up why this designer is the best all-around for throwing knives, among other types of blades.
For this particular item:
The "large" size of this set will be most comfortable for adult males with large hands.
Single-edged makes it easier for beginners to do a blade throw (as opposed to grip; buy "Gil Hibben Knife Throwing Guide" if you are just starting up)
Three blades makes practice easier by having more throws before having to go retrieve your blades (and don't worry, these knives won't snap in half as easily if they hit another knife on the target)
The nylon chord grip makes them a little more confortable were you to use them as conventional knives as well, but these will unravel on the first throw.
The sheath is rather inefficient. It takes some stretching to properly fit all 3 knives and even then does not fit them as well as one would think. But at least it stores them together

(More customer reviews)Don't let their size fool ya. For their size, these things can fly!Although, I have to admit, I thought they would be a little bigger.
Good news first.
-They are actually sharp and stick well in targets.
-Their curve enables the handle to fit in the palm comfortably.
-And for some reason they are very easily controlled in the air.
The bad news.
-The case for them is really junky and they can fall out if you don't watch them. The strap on the top does almost nothing.
-The dementions of the picture posted fooled me into thinking that I would be able to fit my fingers into the skeletonized handle(the holes)and be able to use them kind of like brass knuckles. And trust me unless you're three years or younger you wont be able to.
-And the things are so sharp that they are getting ready to dig a hole through the bottom of the case.
Over all, I thought they were pretty cool. I've already done my damage with the little buggers.

It looks a lot sharper than it is in the picture and the pieces holding the chain together are a brownish gold and not silver making it look a bit less appealing. I posted some pictures on the product page so you can see what it really looks like; like I said not a bad product just wish I had seen the real thing before spending almost $50 on it.

(More customer reviews)I ordered these because the tip of my old throwing knife (Muela) snapped off. I use the quarter spin or no-spin technique, which, favored the Muela because it was 11 inches long or so and had a heavy blade.
These knives are around 8 inches and are shaped like a propeller. The handle is about the length of my forefinger - so I had some difficulty in using the no-spin method. I still use no-spin with these knives but I have trouble in longer distances.
If you're using the spin technique, you would be right at home with these knives. They seem to be designed for that purpose. Durability-wise, these seem solid enough. I have a wooden target and sometimes I get a bad hit where the knife bounces off and lands on concrete tip-first and they're still ok.
However, one of the knives was about .5-1 cm shorter than the other two. Not really a big deal, but that means their quality control may not be 100% spot on, so, just keep your eyes open for other defects.
