M1869 SCHOFIELD WESTERN PISTOL NICKEL FINISH NON FIRING REPLICA GUN Review

M1869 SCHOFIELD WESTERN PISTOL NICKEL FINISH NON FIRING REPLICA GUN

I am not sure the desription fits as the "Schofield revolver" had the spring loaded barrel clasp on the frame, whereas the standard Smith & Wesson Model 3 (which this basically is) has the latch mounted on the barrel. Since one of Major Schofield's revisions to the previous S&W Model 3 Revolvers involved this engineering change, I was disappointed this wasn't a Schofield replica, but it is a very fine S&W Model 3 Replica. With Schofield's model one would theorectically be able to open it one handed on horseback and reload. Not sure the caliber for replica. If a Schofield would be .45 Schofield (.45 S&W.), but the orginals and other variations came in other calibers. The gun is not stamped with it. The only skimp is really the auto ejector(extrator)/ejector spring and fact not a Schofield. Extrator is not even there but simulated on the revolver cylinder. Overall it is a heavy, very nice looking, hefty firearm replica of No 3 S&W revolver. Stainless steel and wood.

A non-firing copy of the Smith and Wesson original, well known to all western history aficionados. A favorite of the U.S. Cavalry, Wells Fargo agents, and Frank James. Features 8" barrel, real wood grips & top latch for quick reloading. This piece replicates the original in size, weight and appearance, and the parts function much like the original, even replicating the pivot action for reloading. However, parts cannot be interchanged or the replica made to fire ammunition. M1869 .45 Cal. Schofield Single Action - Nickel Finish

Denix Walther PPK Pistol Review

Recall first that the James Bond PPK had an extended mag. This is the original German Army issue pistol, which Bond only used in the very early films. the safety catch is molded into the slide. Most of the gun is metal, aside from the grips, which are plastic. If you let the slide close too fast you risk cracking the plastic, but it will hold even with a crack. all together, it is a good little piece of history

Great knife for the price.
I didn't have time to mention in the video but there is an image and word on the blade. You can't make out the word in the product pictures but it says "Dorado" and has a picture of a swordfish. I looked it up and I think it refers to the constellation. The actual Dorado fish is ironically flat nosed but the constellation is historically misrepresented as a swordfish.
Believe it or not, I thought this little facet only enhances the appeal of the knife by giving it some unique historical connection.

This pistol was a gift for my 9 year old grandson who loves guns. When he opened it, his face literarily lit up! He hasn't turned it lose all day. It is a beautifully detailed pistol. It's as heavy as I would expect a real one to be. This pistol will indeed be a keepsake. I can't believe the price is so low for this pistol!

This piece is a reproduction of the famous Gentleman's Pocket Pistol by Bunney of London, circa 1770-1780. This replica flintlock features an embossed faux ivory grip and a working action. The hammer cocks, and the trigger releases the hammer. The metal has a antique brass finish. The length is approximately 6 inches.

Famous for its rugged construction and lever-action breech mechanism that allowed the rifleman to fire a number of shots before having to reload: hence the term, "repeating rifle". The first model, the Model 1866, was nicknamed Yellow Boy because of its brass receiver. The Model 73 was much more popular than the 66 because of the steel frame which allowed it to take the newly designed and more potent centerfire .44 cailber cartridge. The 1873 is often referred to as The Gun That Won The West.

The artistry is spectacular and the metalwork is excellent. It makes a wonderful addition to any collection. I wish though that I could find a few knives with a more solid handle.

Miniature Crossbow Bolts Plastic 12 Pack Review

Miniature Crossbow Bolts Plastic 12 Pack

I have the 80 lb. Cobra crossbow pistol and use these plastic bolts exclusively. The aluminum bolts that come with the crossbow WILL break after just a shot or two, so be sure order extra plastic bolts. These plastic bolts are slightly lighter than the aluminum bolts, but fly just as straight/far. These bolts are better able to resist hard hits and won't develop permanent bends. One note: the metal target tips they come with will sometimes pull off when they get stuck in a hard target. You can simply glue the tips back on with Superglue or any other strong adhesive and they work fine.

Denix Broom Handled Mauser, Black Review

I received this a day earlier than predicted, and it was well packaged and undamaged. The replica comes in a nice box, which is similar to the type of box used for real firearms. The replica itself has a movable bolt which, when pulled back, cocks the hammer. When released, the bolt then slides back into battery with a loud click. The hammer can be cocked without moving the bolt, too. A pull on the trigger makes the hammer fall with a satisfying clank. The rear sight can be adjusted for elevation but not windage, which is sort of an odd feature to have on a non-firing pistol. The only other moving part is the lanyard ring, which moves freely. There is a reddish-orange plastic plug in the muzzle, presumably to identify the "gun" as a non-firing item. The finish of the metal parts was covered in a thick, tacky grease, which did not come off easily. After I wiped it off, the finish looked mottled, almost as if it was rusty. I tried swabbing off a portion of the gun with Hoppe's No. 9 gun solvent, which improved the finish to a minor extent. Consequently, the replica's finish looks as if it is an old, somewhat worn, pistol. When I considered ordering this, I couldn't decide whether to spring for the extra cash to get the version with the genuine wooden grips (which looked way too light in color, anyway), and the photo of this item didn't help, as the grips appeared to be black in color. Some models of the broom handle did have black hard rubber grips, but they were checkered, not grooved. Well, the grips on this replica are not black, but a very dark brown - about the color one would expect 100 year old wooden grips to be after so many years of sweat, oil, and dirt. There are screws in the grips and, unless they are fake (I'm not messing with them to find out), the grips could be removed, painted, and reattached for extra realism. After all, it is the handle of the broom handle which gives it its charm.
The right side of the replica looks more authentic than the left, as the manufacturer's logo is featured prominently on the left side.
I enjoyed the instructions' warning to not "dry fire" it too much because, since it cannot actually be fired, this limits one's options. I plan to dry fire it with abandon and, if it breaks, I will hang it on the wall. The instructions also cautioned against performing actions with the replica that could cause others to believe that they are in danger from a real weapon, and I think that this replica is real-looking enough to warrant such concerns.
All in all, this is about on the quality level as a US made 1950s die cast toy gun.

The flintlock pistol was notoriously slow to reload - a severe limitation in close encounters of the dangerous kind! Many solutions to the problem were tried, but one of the more successful was a pistol/dagger combination, whereby a very effective weapon was still to hand after the shots had been fired (or maybe not fired - misfires with flintlocks were common). The original of this pistol was made in London, early in the 18th. century and the skill of the maker is very evident. This non-firing replica is accurate in size and detail - a great costume or conversation piece.

Designed by George Luger, it was issued to Paratroopers and German Officers during World War I and the early stages of World War II. It is notable in firearms history for being the firearm with which the 9 mm Parabellum cartridge was introduced, though the type was first introduced with a 7.65 mm Parabellum cartridge and has also been chambered for other cartridges. It is a toggle lock pistol based on principles by Hiram Maxim. It is semi-automatic, fed by a removable magazine, and operates on the short-recoil principle
