(More customer reviews)i order this katana mainly as another peice to my collection because i have a soft spot for japanese katanas especialy the ones made by ito katana. and out of all the katanas i've purchased this is one of my favorites it's actually a lighter weight than most of ito katanas and to me it is perfect for those who like collecting or even those who like to practice the art of quick draw. either way its a good buy. the only thing i didn't like was the fact that there were a few scraches on the scabbard but that was probably from shipping other than that an excellent buy.

The saya of this most impressive and elegant katana is finished in a black lacquer with a unique Japanese imprint added on to it. The sageo wrapped around the saya is deep royal purple cotton. The 28 inch blade of this piece has been hand forged with the Japanese Maru technique. The blade is forged from 1045 carbon steel and has been hand sharpened. The handle measures 11 inches is formed from a black cotton cord and ray skin wrap. The tsuba (guard) is a blackened bronze with white acecents. It has been designed in the look of a field and trees, with the white accenting the leaves and flower blossoms. Inlcluded with the sword is a cotton sword bag. Katana measures 40.5 inches overall.
