(More customer reviews)This sword is awesome and worth the $. It looks real, and it feels real in your hand. Even though the blade is composite/plastic, it looks like shining steel until you look closely and see that the edge is not sharp. Turn it on, and the blue glow appears to emanate from deep within the sword. The glow is completely even so it doesn't just look like someone put a light bulb inside a piece of plastic. The blade is reasonably durable, and the harder you hit things, the more "clanging" sound you'll hear. It actually sounds like what you image a sword might. A note of caution - and this should be expected; the instructions do warn you about hitting other hard items. I haven't been willing to experiment too much in this regard, but thus far I have not damaged the blade.
Overall a great novelty. If you're considering it for a kid who loves to sword or lightsabre fight, I'd look elsewhere as I'm sure it will not stand up to this treatment... Unless they appreciate LOTR enough to recognize it's "value".

This electronic replica of Frodo's Sting sword emits an eerie bluish glow whenever Orcs are nearby. This authentic Sting sword replica was cast from molds used to create the original movie prop used in Lord of the Rings trilogy. Furthermore the plaque that holds the sword the paint design had some smeared spots but not to bad. But the thing that i did not like was the word Pakistan on the sword its very very small but wish it would have been put some were else. The Good thing about it thou is its cheap, and it does look cool hanging on the wall and its worth 20 bucks but dont expect the best

LOTR Gandalf the White Staff Review

(More customer reviews)Okay, from a purely asthetic perspective, this staff is awesome. It's elegant, simple, yet complicated, not to mention creative and evocative. It actually looks like a magician might carry it without sneering inwardly at himself. Also, the balance is quite easy to find, about 1/4 (mebbe more) from the top. So, excellent!
The actual implementation of the staff, though, is irritating. Shipping over the web may not be the best choice... when the item arrived, despite careful packaging, several paint chips had come off around the haft. There seems to be some sort of red paint underneath. The haft itself, is also a little loose, enough to be noticable, but not enough to repair without a lot of trouble- ie taking the whole thing off, and reattaching. My final quibble, is that the staff part itself (wood) is low quality, appearing in feel to be, in fact, a broomstick, although maybe even lighter. While this offsets the heavy metal top... i dunno, it won't exactly hold together if you intend to swing it at another staff.
So, brilliant design... somewhat flawed execution.

(More customer reviews)I have been Lord of the Rings fan for sometime and I've always wanted to own this sword ever since I saw it on the big screen. Now after waiting many years I have finally been able to purchase it and add it to my sword collection. I would like to first say that this product is finely crafted. The attention to detail makes it feel and look like the legendary blade in the film. The detail from the elven ruins to the golden markings on the pummel are just beautiful. The blade's length is by far something to behold. The weight is something that you have to get use to. Since the handle was designed like a long sword or broad sword, the length of blade however is like great sword. Because of this the functionality of this sword isn't great.
I don't know how anyone could wield such weapon in battle for long, unless they had sturdy and strong arms. However since this piece was only really meant to be displayed on a wall and used for brief demonstrations it doesn't disappoint. It is truly a wondrous weapon, that begs your attention and makes you think about the many battles it was wielded in throughout the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. In conclusion I recommend this sword highly, it craftsmanship is superb and it will make great addition to any sword collector or better yet a great addition to any Lord of the Rings fan's collection.

At first I was skeptical since I never ordered a sword online and was curious of its quality. For the price, its fantastic. The sword isn't sharp, except at the point a bit. Holding it feels really nice since it has good weight to it. The plaque it comes with is neat, too. I bet if you put this up on a wall and a more expensive Sting replica, you would have a hard time telling which is the cheaper one. If you are torn whether to buy this or a more expensive one, go with this. Very satisfied.

My dad, who is a bit of an expert when it comes to knives, says that it is of good quality and it even has a very good balance and heft to it. It's not a toy, by any means, and is quite sharp. I had wanted to get Strider's ranger sword but it was much too long to fit in my check-in luggage! Sting in itelf is not a small weapon. I can just imagine going off with it to kill some orcs. It came with its own wooden mount and now hangs proudly in our movie den.

Because even the worst sword smiths can only make so many pieces of junk before they feel so dejected that they quit their smithing and move on to something they can take pride in, like septic tank exploration. Sword handle was bent 10 degrees to the left of the blade (no, package wasn't damaged). The jewels on the hilt look as though they were taken off of a ring my child got from a gumball machine, glued on by a 3 toed sloth (no offense meant to the sloths who may be reading this, you never were meant for forced labor factory work). But once again, this is what I get for buying a cheap imitation, an unsatisfying sensation of cheapness and maybe fender metal.

A word of caution, though -- while the blade is not sharpened, the tip of the sword does come to a point and is sharp enough to do some damage! Definitely keep away from kids!

With both of us being Lord of the Ring junkies, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, but was a little worried about what the quality would be of sword. Thank goodness that was far from the case, as Anduril is actually very well made, and I love the weight of it as well as the engravings (the engravings in the pummel are really cool). It will make a very nice addition to my wall, and though it will probably not slay any orcs any time soon, It is still awesome to have on hand for when the need arises!

This one turned out to be alright. the only issues I have with it are that the blade is a little scratched and the pommel is a bit askew. But, hey, all it's going to do is hang on my wall, so who really cares? All in all it's a really cool sword!
