(More customer reviews)This is a very versatile knife. Victorinox is my only choice in a pocket knife. I have carried this particular model knife for the last 16 years. I did have a Huntsman, but when this was stolen I inadvertantly replaced it with this one, and that is when it became a knife I carried everyday. It is thinner than the Huntsman but you only sacrifice the scissors and a hook thing but you keep the saw. I came by this model by mistake but I have found it a much better option than some of the knives with more stuff.
Also, I highly recomend the saw tool. It is awsome that something so small can cut so well. If you have never used this saw before you should try it. If you do much of anything outside, this is a great addition to the standard pocket knife fare of blades and openers.

Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife Review

(More customer reviews)After 14 years of service my Victorinox mini-Swiss Army Knife (SAK) has finally begun to show its age: the toothpick went missing, the enamel casing cracked, the insignia fell off. So I've bought another (the original sits in a drawer, its knife blade as sharp as ever, the screwdriver still perfectly utile, the scissors are gummed up but could probably be cleaned out with some rubbing alcohol).
For versatility and simplicity it's hard to beat this item. Sure there are SAKs with more blades and tools, but the simple knife/screwdriver/scissors combination is going to meet the vast majority of your needs (ok, it doesn't have a bottle opener: use a door strike plate, MacGyver). The toothpick is so-so, but I can't count the number of times I've needed to tweeze something and used the SAK tweezers when I couldn't find the bathroom set. The key fob, while not the most exciting of features, does provide a convenient way to carry the SAK around with you.
This item is sure to please. I love mine. You'll love yours. Buy one for someone else - they'll love theirs.

Victorinox Minichamp Swiss Army Knife Review

(More customer reviews)I originally received this knife as a gift, and I gave one of those fake "gee, thanks, this is swell" reactions because I didn't really think it was something I'd ever use. After all, I'd never had a pocket knife, and I never felt the need to carry one.
Man, what a dope I was! I use this little beauty almost every day. It's well-built and the steel keeps its edge for a long time. It's so compact, it's no trouble to carry in my pocket. Scissors are an attachment that usually doesn't work very well in pocket knives, but these have worked well for over 3 years and counting.
I knocked one star off the review because the nail file and cuticle pusher attachments are silly. I would have rather had other items like screw drivers, or just leave them off and make it narrower.
The ball point pen is a clever touch, and has proven surprisingly useful.
Thus is a solid knife, and a great personal accessory. However, that said, if I was making the purchase today, I would skip this and get the Midnite MiniChamp or Midnite MiniChamp II instead. I think the addition of the minilight is a must-have, and if I ever need to replace my little MiniChamp, I'll do it with one of the Midnite models.

(More customer reviews)First off I need to tell you that I've carried a swiss knife since I was a kid. I have most of the styles. But this one stands out as the absolute most useful for a rather strange reason. For me since I don't fish I found more uses for this in the most unexpected area. The "fish scaler" tool is one that I would NEVER use to scale fish for no other reason than the problem of having to clean it thoroughly, too much work. But this tool I have used more than any other on all my knives. I've used it to open ceiling hatches to change office lights, pick locks. to measure things (something you need more often than you think), to reach into thin areas to clear debris or push a switch and most of all as a back scratcher. Since there are no sharp edges on the scaler it's perfect to scratch those areas one can't reach. That's not to ignore all the rest of the tools this knife offers which I use except for the absurd "parcel hook". This tool is useless and yet Victorinox continues to install it on many knives. The only useful task I've found for the hook is to tighten one's laces on my boots when I snow shoe. Anyone else found something useful for the parcel hook? Please post it if you have.
