(More customer reviews)This set of "Throwing Spikes" is reasonably good quality for the price. We have recently added a throwing area in our home martial arts gym (my son and I take it together) and it adds a good bit fun and competition to our workouts. After trying Ninja Throwers Pro Stars set of 4 with Carry Case and 3 Pieces Black Spider Throwing Knife Set 6" Overall Length, these "spikes" seemed like the next logical progression. Here are my observations:
Pros -
+ Good Weight; hefty enough to stick in pine from 10' - 12'
+ Red Tassel; makes it easy find on those "rare" occasions we miss our target
Cons -
- Blunts Easily; we keep a file on hand to sharpen as needed
Misc -
* Includes Wrist Sheath; not great quality, but functional to hold the spikes
It is surprising how quickly we learned to get these sticking in our targets with a fair degree of accuracy.
