(More customer reviews)for the price, this product is beautiful and great quality. It is slightly top heavy, but for someone on a budget it is a beautiful functional katana for under 100 dollars. The transaction was smooth and shipping was extremely fast. I definitely recommenced the product.

The symbol of Fudo Myoo is engraved on one side of the hand forged carbon steel blade and on the other side is an engraved dragon horinmono. The blade has been forged using the Japanese Maru technique laminating different degrees of steel hardness; polished to a mirror finish and lined with a deep hi (blood groove). Housing the blade is a brown flecked paint saya (scabbard) painted with a high gloss and coated with a thick lacquer. A teal sageo (cord) decorates the saya and matches the ito (braid) surrounding the tsuka (handle); the tsuka lined with real same (ray skin) is accented with antique kashira (butt cap) and fuchi (collar). The tsuba (guard) has been created from a zinc-alloy; one side of the tsuba displays a tsunami and the other a samurai drawing his sword. Included is a cotton sword bag, perfect for blade storage. Measures 41 inches closed, 39.5 inches overall open with a 28 inch blade length, 18/64 blade thickness. Weight 3lbs 2oz closed and 2lbs 10oz open.
