As you can see from the customer pictures that I've posted, this katana is not a masterpiece. If you say you get what you pay for, it may be safe to say this is not a bad deal (I cannot compare with similarly priced products from other brands though.)
As most products in today's marketplace do, this one is hiding some nasty secret in the blind spot - inside the tsuka (handle). The product name includes the term "Full Tang," but I would not agree with that claim with its tang that runs only about 2/3 of the tsuka. I have two other swords in the same line, and one of them has its own problem (twisted tang) inside their tsuka (haven't disassembled the other one yet). Not sure if I'm particularly unlucky, or I cannot expect some craftmanship at this price level.
I'll continue to use these for drawing practice, but I won't allow anyone around, esp. when I cut a heavy stuff. I guess there is a (very) slight chance that the hollow tsuka can break.
