These Blades are excellent for the money not gaudy ,but well made and nice balance ...a very usable blade .. My son and I have started sparring with the interchangable practical blades, and this is not epee ,or foil fencing this is a different animal! These are tough usable blades ...enjoy

This Swept-Hilt Rapier features classical lines, with a high-carbon steel flex-tempered blade, a stainless steel hilt (for reduced maintenance) with -Inchblade catcher-Inch quillons and a twisted-wire grip. The hilt is of the same size as the 17th Century German piece on which it is based, providing an authentic 'feel" in the user's hand and weight and balance also match originals. The blade is interchangeable with our 'Practical" blade (OH2255) which is designed for safety in rapier sparring. The matching Main Gauche (SH2208) may also be equipped with a sparring blade.
