It's made to perfect movie scale, having an ever-so-slightly THICKER spine than the movie prototype - great for the everyday user indeed - particularly due to the fact that it's created from one solid piece of 1090 high-carbon steel. It's truly a force to be reckoned with, easily the beefiest, heaviest and most capable blade I own!!! Ideally you'll land the most recent production line from United Cutlery with black leather-wrapped handle. If you get a tape-wrapped original *first run, United will exchange it for a newer one (the *tape tended to cause stickiness on the handles but the leather wrapped version - which I own - is flawless!)

Rambo IV Hunting Knife Machete Officially Licensed From Latest Rambo Movie Review

(More customer reviews)As a Rambo-nut, I owned all three knives from the first three Rambo movies. Actually received them as presents from family and friends for graduating college. So, naturally when the fourth Rambo movie came out, I had to have that knife too. Fortunately for me, I had just completed my Master's Degree and it was gift time again.
My wife ordered this knife and received it within a few days. Opened the box and was immediately impressed and in love with yet another work of art. That's really what these knives are. We were going to look into having some sort of display case or shadow box built to house them all, but now there's rumors of a Rambo Part 5 coming out in the summer of 2011! Sweet! We'll have to wait until I have that knife too before we build a case for them all.
For now, I just pull them out of their boxes randomly to admire their extremely fine craftsmanship. Absolutely beautiful, every one of them. If I had to pick a favorite....it'd be this one from Rambo 4. It is raw and deadly, just like the man himself!!
