The knife opens smooth, and has a decent locking mechanism, only downside to it, is that the lock, is actually the handle, so when you are putting the blade back into its resting position, u have to actually shift, thus most likely leading to a lesser lasting knife. My summary and overall rating is a 3 out of 5. If your into collecting, its nice, if you plan on using it day to day, m-tech is not your brand.
