You really do get what you pay for... this stand has a black laquer like finish which was cracked/smashed in several places around the base and tips, so you have to color them in and hope nobody notices. At $14, they aren't going to spend money packaging them against damage and it will cost you just as much to repack and ship back as it did to buy a new one. The hole in the center is only 1.5 inches in diameter, so if you have anything besides a wooden dowel endpiece, it won't fit in the center. The two side pieces are larger with open slots, but the entire set of 3 axes that you use can't be too top heavy toward the front or back, as you have to counter balance it sideways. For axes, there aren't many options for display stands like this, just make sure your pieces will fit and get some black 'india ink' pigment for touch up.
