I am simply stunned by what I got here. I shopped around a lot trying to decide what two hander I was going to buy. I looked at a lot of them and I had a bit of trepidation when it came to buying a sword online. How can you really know how it is if you can't hold it in your hands? Well, I opted for this one figuring the price looked pretty darn reasonable and shipping was reasonable too.
I was stunned when I got it. Very much worth the price, or even twice the price. Real leather wrappings around the handle and the ricasso. Nice shiny stainless steel blade. Comes with a real leather sheath. And just looks darn good. My unofficial weight for it is 3.5 pounds which makes it heavy enough to let you know its there yet not so heavy you will fatique quickly.
This sword is not a practice sword. It was made for displaying and occasionally taking down to show off and that's exactly what I wanted. It has an edge that will easily cut you but it is not razor sharpened.
Good looking sword that feels great in your hands and at an unbeatable price. 5 stars, 6 if I could give em.

This handmade sword is not for the faint of heart ...as Great Landsknecht Swords were wielded by only the strongest and most fearless chosen front line Swiss and German soldiers of the Middle Ages. Its main purpose was used to down charging horsemen and cut off oncoming pike heads. Wrought iron and steel has been worked to duplicate the design of an original piece now in private collection.
