(More customer reviews)Great katana, very,very, sharp, better than I expected. The sword is full tang. I disassemble the tsuka witch it's made of wood not plastic- or (grip-handle) and it was signed by the maker, it also was branded by musashi on the habaki,-or (blade collar) the hamon- or (temper line) it's not clay tempered, its chemically induced, but the blade it's handmade of carbon steel, it has good balance it's only 2 pounds or less, I was able to balance the sword on 1 finger with no problem, it has a wooden saya- or (scabbard) and brass fitting witch its easily confused with copper, but copper it's heavier and more bendable, and brass its lighter and harder, but they have almost the same color, by fittings I mean kashiri-(pommel), fuchi-(collar), tsuba-(guard), habaki-(blade collar) and scabbard throat, the kurigata -or (cord fixture) and sage-or (hanging cord) are not that elaborated, but I don't mind, this sword it's for practice not decoration. I have cut all types of bottles from big to small and even cans, a 6 pack to be exact and all in one swipe, I even stabbed a can and went straight thru the can like it was not there at all, the kisaki-or (blade point) it's very sharp so this is good I recommend this for practice. I have made all of my cuts from jodan no kamae, in no kamae, sha no kamae and seigan no kamae stance this is kenjutsu but actually I am a black belt in Ninjutsu and has a lot of sword play. I hope this helps, but be careful because a lot of people don't know what there are selling and you could end up with a sword that has no markings, so the habaki is blank and it's not signed by the maker when you take of the tsuka, and for the same price or even higher, and there kind of heavy to, well more than 2 pounds, I took the chance and I was lucky. also the ito or tsuka ito-(the cord wrapping on the handle or grip) are very tight.
