(More customer reviews)...there is nothing in the hilt of the dagger where the sands should be. There isn't any glass or plastic or anything. It's just dead space, you can put your finger through there and spin the dagger if you wanted. That was a little bit disapointing but I expected this when I bought the dagger so I wasn't surprised. That being said, this is a BIG dagger. It is very beautiful and if you compare it to a picture of the video game, you'll see they got every curve and line perfect. Well, on the handle anyway. The blade is a different story. If you look closely at pictures of the in-game version, you'll see two tiny spikes extending parallel to the blade on both sides. These are not there. I understand it would be very difficult to do, but it IS do-able. Another thing is that the blade itself is about an inch longer than in the game. It's not too heavy, I'd say about 3 lbs or so, but mine was quite sharp. Especially the tip. Other than that though, it is about as accurate as you could hope. A compartment for the sands would have made it 100% in my book, but alas I shall have to venture through Persia herself to find some sort of plastic or glass suitable for it.
If you're a Sands of Time fan and you want this dagger, buy it. The price is good, only $30 and except for the very fan-obsessed errors I pointed out, it's worth the money. They are, however, making replicas of the dagger from the new movie and for EVERYTHING that movie did wrong, they made the dagger look sexy as hell. So if you wanna wait and get that one, then by all means do. If you want the one based of the game however, this is your best bet. It's sturdy, it's cool, it's not too heavy, and the display stand is amazing. I am happy with this purchase, but I only wish it could hold sand... That would have been the best thing in the world to me.
