(More customer reviews)First off this knife is well built for the price but it is definitely a show piece, the blade is not real Damascus steel, but anyone should already know that. The oddest thing about it is the designs on the pommel (which you cannot see in the pictures)is obviously an Aztec or Mayan Jaguar head or something similar, very well rendered, but the whole knife is covered with such designs which are not Scottish by any means. If you looking for authentic then this is not it. But if you like the oddity of a Scottish Dirk with a Damascus (faux) blade and Mayan designs.....its a keeper. Another little note is that the blade fits VERY snugly in the sheath, making it hard for a weak person too remove it, it could also be dangerous just because of the shear force it takes too do so, as an example my wife tried too do it and when the blade came free she lost her grip on it from the shock of it releasing and it stuck in the floor.
