(More customer reviews)I have wanted this sword since I was a kid. Finally a reasonably priced reproduction that is true to the original sword. This is a very good sword for the money. If you're looking for a good replica to hang on the wall, then this is it. It makes for a beautiful display that any fan of the Conan movies will love. The details are nearly identical to the original and the runes are deeply etched on the blade. Overall an extremely good display sword for the price.

The two most prominent swords in the movie Conan the Barbarian (CTB) were the "Father's Sword", which was the sword made by Conan's father in the beginning of the film, and the "Atlantean Sword" sword, which Conan found in a cave and used throughout the movie. This Atlantean replica sword is overall length of ~ 40.5 inches. The actual handle is leather wrapped and is 7 inches long; the handle extends ~ 6.5 inches up along the blade above the guard, which is a very unusual design for a sword. The idea was to make a sword so that someone could reach forward and hold the blade above the guard, but a real sword that was meant for fighting would have just had a longer handle. In any case, the design gives a unique and very interesting look. This sword also has runic hieroglyphs carved along its blade; blade made with 440 steel. Blade guard is 7" wide. Weight is 10lbs. The sword comes with the plaque.
