What people who buy these things don't realize is that while DOVO makes an excellent razor, it only comes so sharp from the factory. It must be sent out to a professional who knows how to sharpen a straight razor. Once sharpened, it may not have to be sharpened again for another 6 months, but it will have to be stropped before each shave.
Also, there is a learning curve to shaving with a straight razor, so even when sharpened, don't expect great shaves till you get the hang of it. You will have to learn to strop and even learn to shave all over again.
The price is certainly right on this razor, but it will take about $20 more to get it "shave ready." Shave ready razors usually come from dealers who sharpen and test their products before shipping.
