Boromir is a character in the first two volumes of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. He was the brother of Faramir and eldest son of Denethor II as well as the last ruling steward of Gondor. He was both honorable and noble and believed in the greatness of his kingdom and would have defended it and its people to the very end. Both of great stamina and physical strength along with his commanding and forceful personality, he was widely admired in Gondor's army and was eventually made High Warden of the White Tower.
