(More customer reviews)I had ordered this Naval Officers Sword and the package was delivered very promptly. However, upon opening the package I realized that I had received the Marine Corps Officers Sword. Being that my fiance was in the Navy not in the Marines I was extremely dissapointed. I called martialartsland to explain the situation, and was promised that the mistake would be corrected and that the correct sword would be shipped the next business day. A week later there was still no Navy sword, so I called again, had email all of the information to the company as well as a copy of the transaction. Once again I was promised that it would be sent out the next day...This was on a Thursday, on Monday I called to check on the delivery and was told that they did not send it the previous week because the warehouse was not open. I was asked for a number where the man could call me back in five minutes, after he contacted the warehouse to get the delivery set up. I never received a return call...The following day I tried calling the company for a couple of hours. No one answered the phone and the voice mail was full.. I have not been able to contact anyone, have not heard from them and obviously we do not have a Naval Officers Sword. I would not use this irresponsible company for anything ever again.

The Blade of the sword is 440stainless steel. The scabbard of the sword is leather wrapped over steel.The handle of the sword is leather wrapped with golden twine. The brass fittings and the strong stainless steel construction makes this sword strong enough to be a lifetime keeper.
