(More customer reviews)I enjoy this sword, it is heavier than it may appear but the full tang stainless blade is thick and takes abuse well. It requires some muscle to cut through thick items but has a decent spring to it. I would'nt call this a reenactment piece but it is nice looking and comes quite sharp. If one were inclined to use it as a weapon it would leave more than a scar, with a strong enough blow it would sufficiently do the job of loping off a limb. A stronger more refined metal would likely defeat this sword in any kind of combat. It rests well enough in the scabbard which is a strong plastic or fiberglass. It rattles a bit inside the scabbard but stays secure at the mouth of it. It does scratch rather quickly where the brass around the blade rubs against the brass on the scabbard. I got a better deal on mine but for $25-$45 it's a good value. I wouldn't recommend paying more than $65 for this item.
