This sword is very cheap, and I mean that is a good way. . . and a bad one. It has a sharpened SS blade and is 1/8 inch thick at the spine, is leaf bladed, 2" wide, and of a pleasing shape. Sheath is pretty and well fitted, being vinyl covered wood, with bright brass-like plastic fittings. It looks pretty overall and is nicely accented. It makes a good and very inexpensive wall hanger, and you could- might- trim the occasional branch with is in the back yard.
Of special note is the tang which is ~1/8inch by 1/2 inch and only about 2 inches long. It is 'rat tailed' (welded to a 1/8 in round stock) which is threaded into the pommel with a simple and ordinary nut. maybe four threads worth.
I bought it intending to test cut and wanted something that I knew I would break and not feel bad about. This was it. Pommel will shear off after very few medium-hard impacts. Blade will slide off the plastic handle and go off into the yonder.
Don't get me wrong, this is highly inexpensive and for the price is very good. I bought is knowing it was not going to last. I have since rebuilt the tang making it full length and changed handle materials, The actual blade has held up well, though it doesn't take a super-sharp edge, it is more than adequate for most sword work. Edge geometry is acceptable for cutting soft targets -which is all this design was intended to do anyway; for that it works.(after beefing up the tang)
Overall a great value for the price. Just know what you are getting into and pick one to suit your needs. As I said. it is pretty and cheap, and could be used once in an emergency.
