It also come with an additional tsuba.Again for that price, (being an avid katana collector) I would question your sanity if you pass this up. Also the weight of this sworde is amazing. A must Buy. The folded high carbon blade has been hand forged with a hi (blood groove) appearing on both blade sides and polished to a mirror finish. Created from one piece of carbon steel the blade is anchored into the handle using two mekugi (wooden pegs). The blade is housed in a glossy red wooden saya (scabbard) coated with thick lacquer and highlighted with red sageo (cord). Japanese figures adorn the tsuba (guard) created from a brass mixture and coated with a dark antique finish matching the fuchi (collar) and kashira (butt cap). The tsuka (handle) is lined with top quality same (ray skin) and wrapped with an ito braid, the menuki (handle ornament) is an antiqued dragon. Store your katana in the included cotton sword bag or cloth covered wooden display box (42Lx5Wx3.5H), also included is an alternate tsuba (guard). Measures 41 inches closed, 39.5 inches open with a 27.5 inch blade length and has a 21/64 blade thickness. Weighs 3lbs 3 ounces closed, and 2lbs 10 ounces open.
