(More customer reviews)I just received my Jin Tachi Oriental Master Katana Wood Carbon sword and I must say I'm impressed. The quality of the sword is very good, it's just as advertised. I was happy to find that the blade doesn't rattle in the scabbard. Overall the construction is very solid. At this price don't expect a full tang or sharpened blade, but this sword is a beautiful decorative piece. The weight has a nice feel in the hand and the blade is straight. I would have given it a 5/5 stars if it came sharpened, but you get what you pay for :D

Jin Tachi refers to the way the sword attaches to an Obi (worn sash). Two hangers are used attach the sword to the obi, and the blade is hung edge down. The sword features brown leather hangers with a brown display carrying cord. The blade is 27 1/2 inches of gorgeous carbon steel. Adding to the elegant look of this sword is the genuine wood handle and saya (scabbard). Antiqued bronze fittings and guard add even more of a flair to the look of this sword. Wrapped around the handle and saya is a brown cord wrap. Overall length is 43 1/2 inches.
