(More customer reviews)This is a strongly put together item. It would be devastating in knightly battle, if the wielder could score a blow. The steel is thick and heavy - consequently the hammer is unbalanced. I believe that actual medieval weapons of this type had smaller heads. The pins that attach the metal parts to the hardwood shaft might loosen or break, given vigorous use. I would also prefer a top spike.
The small "made in China" etched onto the steel covering the upper shaft somehow detracts from the overall effect.
The price, appearance and solidity, however, are excellent.
