(More customer reviews)I recently ordered one of these Kukhri Machete's and am very pleased with the quality of the blade and handle. The sheath is sub par, but for 20.00 I fully expected that. I plan to buy some heavy leather and use the sheath as a template. The scales on the knife are a hard plastic, all of the kraton handles I've held have a bit of rubberiness to them, these are definitely a hard plastic. I'll be ordering a couple of the other knives in the M48 series, you can't beat the value. By the way I own several Beckers (BK-7 and BK-3) the M48's are not near the same quality, but they will be knives you wont care if they get used real hard.
