(More customer reviews)I saw this knife for under $[...] (delivered) and just fell in lust with it. I'm a longneck drinker and I'm always searching for a bottle opener or having to improvise to open a brew when camping.. so, this seemed like a natural for me.
When it arrived, I was surprised at how "squat" the knife was. The handle is shorter than I had presumed (due to the bottle opener) and I can't say I'm a big fan of the severe drop point. The pics I had seen were a bit deceiving as to the size of the handle. The ones in this ad are better. All in all, it is still a cool fixed blade camp knife, worth of the Gerber name, but the plastic sheath is an absolute P.O.S. It scratches the finish on the blade where it puts pressure on the side, near the hilt, to hold it in. It is flimsy and the reversible clip is absolute crap. Falls out of my pocket all the time.
For under $[...], I think it was probably worth it if you like drop point blades and use a bottle opener a lot. I'll need to have a nice leather sheath made for it. I would not pay $[...]+ for this knife though.
