(More customer reviews)I bought many items on the internet, but this is one of the worst purchases I've made. It's a cheaply made junk and not even adequate for firewood. I was looking for a vertical stand for my katana and stumbled upon this product, which looked good from manufactured supplied photos. Once I received it however, I immediately noticed the shoddy workmanship. It is made of plywood, with sharp edges covered in cheep black mate lacquer. The sandpaper was at best scarcely used in some places and at worst not at all. Where there is a grip to hold the saya the surface is so sharp and jugged that just by resting the saya there the saya would get scratched. On top of it when putting it together one of the ribs connecting the base with the spine broke off. Please do yourself a favor and either make a vertical stand for your katana yourself or look for other product/option.
