(More customer reviews)This is a serious piece of steel. Don't be fooled by the pictures this thing is big and sharp. I tried it on a piece of paper and it was razor sharp out of the box.
It came wrapped in a cotton cloth, the blade is oiled and it has some dust collected by the oil. If you are going to use this Tanto you will need to take care of it. Buy the Katana cleaning kit it sells for about $8.
Again be very careful with this Tanto if it slips it could take one of your toes easily. The shipping was great and on time.
I have only two complaints:
1- I wish that it had a box or a stand included.
2- the point line "Yokote" is not symmetrical, I mean that one side is slightly higher than the other side. Since this is my first ever Japanese sword I have no idea if this is a valid complaint or not, however considering the price this is a steal and my two complaints are just me being greedy.
If you are considering buying it just do it you won't be disappointed. now I'm considering the Katana & Wakizashi #212C from the same company.
