(More customer reviews)This is the famed "Rambo III" knife, though United Cutlery and Gil Hibben no longer have rights to the name "Rambo", rendering the newer versions the "Hibben III". Alas, I honestly love the fact that I have a scale reproduction model of the movie knife without the annoying "Rambo III" stamp on the sheath. I FAR prefer the designer's name on the knife, as a movie replica doesn't seem so cool out in the field. Regardless, the Hibben III is massive, functional, and beautiful. As big knives go, it's actually lighter than one might expect, yet fully capable of crushing through tree limbs or bones (if cutting up meat) if the right pressure is applied. It's no mystery that Hibben designs are made to last, so far this one seems right on the money. My ONLY gripe with United Cutlery was the creation of a "scale model," meaning that the proportions are all movie-accurate, but the knife is about 1-1/2" shorter than the actual movie knife... only relevant if one cares to own an EXACT replica. If you do, head over to Hibben's website an order a hand-made copy for $1,750. Otherwise, of course, grab one of these beauties and know that you've got a killer blade at an INCREDIBLY good price!
