(More customer reviews)I've used two Vniti FIE blades Epee Blade - Vniti FIE Bare Electric twice a week for a month. They haven't needed straightening and have taken just a slight, desirable bend. I've also noticed they are not very susceptible to rust, and while there are some marks on the edges, they haven't developed stress risers (sharp nicks). That may have something to do with their reputation for durability.
This is just an interim report, but I'm happy so far.
9Oct08--I use a French grip. The handle, with a hard plastic core, broke, and with it the tang. I'm inclined to blame the handle.
28 July 2010--It's been two years and both blades are going strong. Yes, both blades. I mounted the broken tang in a Russian-style pistol-grip, and have used both for practice and competition, though not exclusively. The other blades all broke; the Vniti haven't. In two years there have been only a couple of stress risers.
One peculiar downside, though, is that I can't use ZipTips with the Vniti. I don't know why, but the ZipTips break very quickly. Otherwise, just for the record, I have been very happy with *them*.
